World Interior Designs 2024: Celebrating artistry, functionality of interior designs

…Design As Crucial Tool For Creating Inclusive Solutions

This year, the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) took a detour from the usual compelling thematic preoccupations of the World Interior Designs (WID) day to address the pressing issues of communication divide between contemporary and traditional designs with the theme “The Growing Generational Gap: Improved Multi-Generational Future”.

According to IFI, the theme points towards having a sensitive and adaptable artistry and functionality interior designs which creates an environment that celebrates generational diversity, building bridges between past, present and future. “With this approach, design emerges as a crucial tool for creating inclusive solutions that promote more effective and meaningful communication between people of different ages.”

This inclusive design approach IFI states would close the gap between past and present paving the way for a future design industry where people of all ages coexist in a collaborative and enriching way, while looking forward to the trends that will define spaces in 2025.

World Interiors Day is an annual event by the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) to highlight the importance of interior design and its impact on the quality of life and well-being.
