What shall be your excuse to God?

Romans 2:1-3: “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2: But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them, which commit such things. 3: And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God”?

The creation of the earth and the things within would probably not have taken place if God had given room for excuses. There were a lot of unfortunate situations that would have truncated the creation project, but the Lord Almighty persevered. The entire earth space was engulfed in darkness and covered with water; there was nothing to lay hands on. But out of nothing, God started and brought everything into existence. Man, the highest being created, was deliberately made in the image and likeness of God. Man took the nature of God, so he is expected to act accordingly. God does not give excuses for anything. Therefore, man who was made in the image and likeness of God should not give excuses for failing to carry out duties assigned to him.

Everyone will stand before the judgment throne of God to render an account of how he has spent his life on earth. There are opportunities for all of us to repent from our sins, evangelise the gospel and win souls for God’s kingdom. This is why Luke 13:6-9 says: “He spake also this parable; a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. 7:Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? 8: And he answering said, unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it. 9:And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.” Any farmer that has invested so much on his farm would always expect farm produce from it. The trees and the crops are to bear fruits, which must be harvested for future investment. It is expected that any tree that fails to bear fruit will be cut down so that it will give space to other fruit-bearing trees to grow.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has made great investment in every man’s life. He laid down His life for the sins of the world and by this singular act; He has purchased every man with His precious blood shed on the Cross of Calvary. With His death, Jesus Christ has made every believer a fisherman (Matt, 4v19). Jesus Christ has discipled every believer so that they could disciple others into God’s kingdom. As in the scripture above, where the tree that failed to bear fruit is marked for cutting down, any Christian that fails to bear fruit — win souls for God’s kingdom — will be cut down.

In the lead scripture, the Bible says that man is inexcusable hence we must not judge anyone for any offence we are also guilty of. No man is qualified to judge another for any reason. In the scriptural interpretation, judging is moral in nature. It is the ability to discern between right and wrong. Apostle Paul did not condemn the moralists in the Roman Church for their moral judgment but for their sins, because they were doing the same things they condemned the people of. The basic principles of divine judgment are set to be according to:

• The truth: This means it must be an objective standard of conduct
• The deeds
• The light enjoyed, which implies the level of one’s exposure and
• The gospel by which the secrets and motives of men are judged.

There is no alibi that will exonerate a sinner from God’s judgment. There is punishment for anyone that has failed to fulfill God’s purpose. Matthew 21:18-19 tells us how our Lord Jesus Christ expressed anger against a tree in this manner: “Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 19: And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever. And presently the fig tree withered away.”

As a result of the special salvation work our Lord Jesus Christ came to do in the world, He was 100 per cent human as well as 100 per cent God. As a human being, He was hungry and needed physical food but found none. In His quest, He decided to take fruit but found none on a particular tree; He then cursed the tree. God, as a creator, is not happy with anyone that is not doing his/her kingdom duties as expected or has failed to do it.

God in His mercy for the souls of sinful man allowed the shedding of the blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, for the remission of sin and salvation of mankind. Through His precious blood, our Lord Jesus Christ has purchased all human beings and by His grace we have open doors to return to our creator. However, for us to have access to God, we must accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour because he died for our sake. It is, therefore, compulsory that all mankind should repent from sins.

When you give your life to Jesus Christ by accepting that his death on the Cross of Calvary was for your salvation and jettison your sins, your service to God will then be acceptable. If you harden your heart or fail to repent and prepare for the rapture of the saints, you will go to hell fire.

There is no excuse anybody can give for failing to repent and to serve God. In God’s service, we are to preach the gospel to as many people as possible that have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. While on earth, our Lord Jesus Christ did not give excuses for anything, rather His interest was to please God at all times by doing His will. John 4:34-36 says: “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. 35: Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36: And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ has said that His food is to do the will of His father who sent Him. As the disciples of Jesus Christ we are to follow His footsteps to do the will of God. The work of God should at all times be uppermost in our operations. Christ has mandated us, His disciples, to be occupied in evangelism and soul winning till He returns to rapture the saints. You, therefore, have no excuse if you fail to do the work or fail to repent.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing
‘I Asked For Twins, But Got Triplets’

Matt.7: 7-8 says: “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh, receiveth…”

The word of God is yea and Amen. It has never failed and cannot fail. He answered me with more than what I asked for.

My name is Brother Chukwuma Okorie; I am based in Ogun State. I joined the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries in 2008. Since then, my family and I have remained members of the church.

In 2018, I attended the church’s programme titled: “From Sorrow To Joy” at the Church’s Headquarters in Lagos. As our General Pastor was about concluding the programme, he prayed for people that needed miracle children and I keyed into the prayer.

It has always been my desire to have twins. My firstborn is a male child. The second and third are also males. So, when my wife was pregnant with the fourth, I keyed into the prayers of our General Pastor and believed God for twins. But this wonder-working God instead of giving me twins blessed me with triplets — all boys. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

Now, God has blessed me with six boys. Prior to the delivery of the triplets, we went for a scan and the result said my wife was carrying twins in her womb. We did the scan five consecutive months and the results were the same. But on the day of delivery, God gave us triplets. They came out with ease, no stress. It was not up to 30 minutes after I left the hospital that I was called and told the good news. It was a great surprise because God gave me more than I asked for. My heart is filled with joy for this explosive miracle. I appreciate God, the Almighty for this.

After the delivery, the enemy struck and my wife began to bleed profusely. Nurses tried all they could to stop the bleeding, but it did not stop. So, they drew my attention to the situation and immediately, I went to see her and prayed for her, and within five minutes, the bleeding ceased. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!

Moreover, I thank God for His divine provision upon my family. Of a truth, He has been taking care of my family. During the pandemic period, I owed the school my children attend some money and because of this, I went to our corporate headquarters in Lagos for our General Pastor to pray for me. He did that and two days later, I got some money and settled the outstanding school fees. After paying, the school proprietor called me and said: “Pastor, for your faithfulness, I will award scholarship to your triplets from primary school to secondary school level.” I was stunned and speechless for what the Lord has done. The proprietor immediately called the school secretary to take note of the award.

Brethren, my triplets now attend classes on scholarship — no school fees. Oh, what a God we serve!

I appreciate God for these wondrous testimonies. May His name be highly exalted forever in Jesus name!

I pray for our General Pastor, his family, all the Chosen pastors and members; I wish them heaven at last in Jesus’ name. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord!
