WASCA introduces Nigerian-Canadian coffee exchange corridor

West African Specialty Coffee Association (WASCA) has announced establishment of Nigerian-Canadian Coffee Exchange Corridor to strengthen bilateral trade between both nations and promote the product at the international market.


Coffee lovers around the globe are to experience Nigeria’s coffee heritage, offering a delightful selection of premium coffee varieties to Canadian consumers.

The corridor presents an opportunity for enthusiasts to savour and appreciate the distinct flavours, aromas and cultural richness that each cup offers.

Nigeria, known for its vibrant culture and fertile grounds, boasts of product’s varieties, including the coveted Robusta, Arabica, and Excelsa beans.

A statement reads: “These beans are meticulously grown by passionate farmers in Nigeria’s fertile soils, nurtured by a favorable climate, and harvested with utmost care and expertise.

The Nigerian-Canadian Coffee Exchange Corridor aims to facilitate seamless trade and foster long-term partnerships between Nigerian coffee producers and Canadian coffee importers, roasters, and retailers. By leveraging this corridor, Canadian businesses will gain access to a diverse array of high-quality Nigerian coffee beans, contributing to the growth of their specialty coffee market.

Furthermore, the initiative focuses on promoting sustainable practices throughout the entire coffee value chain.
