Vice Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO), Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, has tasked over 1,500 matriculating students of the institution to create an environment where intellectual curiosity thrives, diversity is celebrated, and mutual respect prevails.

Ezemonye told the new students that the school is governed by rules designed to provide a conducive environment for them to thrive and pursue their individual and legitimate aspirations.

He assured of the institution’s readiness to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and mindset necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world, and effectively navigate the challenges and opportunities of the future.

“Together, let us contribute to the legacy of IUO and build a community that is not only academically proficient, but also socially responsible and globally aware.”

With their admission, the vice chancellor said the students have become part of a vibrant and diverse community that values knowledge, inquiry and discovery.

He reminded them that education is not just about acquiring facts and figures, but honing critical thinking, fostering creativity and developing a lifelong love for learning.

“Our university is a place where ideas are born, challenged and refined. It is a space where you will not only gain knowledge from textbooks but also learn from the rich tapestry of experiences, cultures and perspectives that surround you,” Ezemonye said.
