Executive Head, Marketing and Customer Experience, Old Mutual Nigeria, Alero Ladipo

Old Mutual Nigeria, a subsidiary of Old Mutual Limited (OML), has initiated a financial literacy programme aimed at deepening financial education and the adoption of insurance products for Nigerians.

The radio programme, tagged, ‘The Money Beats Show,’ is designed to drive critical financial lessons, including wealth creation, financial security, savings and wealth protection through music, pop culture and relatable events.

The show intends to upskill Nigerians to be financially smart and savvy risk managers by getting them to decode financial lessons through contemporary and trendy songs.

It will run weekly on Wazobia FM, and Smooth FM, every Thursday and Friday for the next 13 weeks.

Speaking on the new initiative, Old Mutual Nigeria’s Executive Head, Marketing and Customer Experience, Alero Ladipo, said the show would redefine how Nigerians decipher financial lessons, using entertainment and pop songs.

“We are confident that getting individuals to go beyond the lyrics of the songs as they know them to decipher hidden financial tips is a strong self-learning tactic that will build knowledge and confidence in financial education for Nigerians. Consequently, we believe that this will help them to build sustainable wealth and make life-changing decisions,” she added.
