Trinity University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Clement Kolawole

The Governing Council of Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, has appointed Professor Clement Olusegun Olaniran Kolawole as the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University. The university in a release, by its Principal Asst. Registrar, Corporate Affairs, Michael Bamigbola, said Professor Kolawole assumed office on September 11, 2023 as Acting Vice Chancellor, and between then and now has been able to make his mark.

Bamigbola stated that the professor of English Language Education, Reading and Curriculum Instruction, has led the management team to prepare for and receive accreditation and resource verification teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for more courses and from many professional regulatory bodies.

“He has contributed to increasing the student population, created more awareness for the institution, boosted its image and led, up to the conclusion, the process of upscaling Nursing Science from a department to a faculty. “Similarly, under his watch, the Accounting programme of the University has received the full professional accreditation of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Vice-Chancellor said he look forward to motivating the university community to a culture of aggressively writing and applying for grants and research funds from donors and agencies.

“I will explore and foster partnerships with international platforms that provide certificates for highly attractive and in-demand skills like software development, machine learning, digital marketing and software sales,” Kolawole said.
