President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office has been described as one characterised by a steadfast commitment to national development, economic revitalisation and social transformation.

Reviewing the challenges and strides of the administration after one year, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mustapha Lusty, an engineer, said the Tinubu administration’s strategic policies and initiatives have laid a robust foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity in Nigeria.

He noted that President Tinubu’s economic policies had stimulated significant growth, as evidenced by a substantial increase in foreign investments and a notable improvement in the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

According to Lusty, the diversification of the economy, particularly through advancements in agriculture and technology, has reduced Nigeria’s dependence on oil revenues and created numerous employment opportunities.

In the area of infrastructure development, he observed that major infrastructure projects, including road construction, rail network expansion and power sector reforms have enhanced connectivity and accessibility across the country.

“The completion of several key infrastructure projects has not only improved the quality of life for citizens but also boosted economic activities,” he said.

Lusty pointed out that the nation had witnessed tremendous improvement in the healthcare and education sectors.

He said the administration’s investment in the healthcare sector had resulted in the establishment of new hospitals and the upgrading of existing facilities, leading to better healthcare delivery for all Nigerians.

“Education reforms, including the improvement of school facilities and teacher training programmes, have significantly improved the quality of education and increased school enrollment rates,” he added.

In the aspect of security and governance, Lusty noted that President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to enhancing national security had led to a decline in insurgency and criminal activities, fostering a safer environment for all Nigerians.

He said that the President’s dedication to good governance and anti-corruption measures had also strengthened public institutions and restored citizens’ confidence in the government.

Given all strides recorded, Lusty noted that there was hope for the nation.

“As we look forward to the coming years of President Tinubu’s administration, there is a renewed sense of hope and optimism for Nigeria’s future. The foundations laid in the past year will undoubtedly pave the way for continued progress and development.

“The administration’s focus on inclusive growth, innovation, and sustainable development promises a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria for all citizens.

“While I congratulate President Tinubu on his remarkable achievements in his first year in office, I am confident that under his visionary leadership, Nigeria will continue to thrive and achieve greater heights,” he said.
