The presidential candidate under the All Progressive Congress party, (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to emulate the patriotic morality of the Al-Jamahatul Quadiriyah Islamic Movement of Nigeria, stating that his presidential ambition is to bring peace, stability and development to the country.

He said this during the yearly Maolid Nabiyy and special prayer organised by the Al-Jamahatul Quadiriyah Islamic Movement, Lagos State under the Grand Khalifa, Sheikh Muhammad Soliu Amosa.

He added that the movement portrayed the teaching of the Holy Quran, which emphasised good neighbourliness.

“The Holy Quran enjoined us to rejoice with our neighbours when good befalls them and empathise with them during adversity.”

Tinubu emphasized the need to empower the youth as this will go a long way to building a strong structure for the country.

“We will build the foundation of prosperity for Nigerian youths. America, and London, builds their own foundation, we can as well achieve it and by God’s grace will do it, “he said.

The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, who accompanied the presidential candidate to the event, said the Quadiriyah Movement had exhibited peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, adding that the motive for praying for the nation teaches indiscrimination and religious tolerance.

“Al-Jamahatul Quadiriyah Islamic Movement, Lagos chapter, has replicated what Bola Tinubu will add to his national propagation if he is elected into office,” he said.

One of the leaders of the Movement, Khaleefah Ahmad Rufai, Naqeebul-Ashraf, said Quadiriyah prayed for a thriving economy and national security in Nigeria, noting that a country with good human welfare will attract local and foreign investment.

“We wish Bola Tinubu long life; prosperity and an increase in godly wisdom in sound health,” he said.
