Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Director of the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bayo Onanuga, has cautioned social media critics who spread falsehoods about the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Onanuga warned those behind the trending the #TinubuTheDrugDealer and #TinubuForPrison on Twitter that their “days are numbered” for tweeting “malicious falsehoods about the president-elect.”

“One day, you will face the wrath of the law and God for tweeting malicious falsehoods about Nigeria’s president-elect.”

Prior to the election, Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, was enmeshed in controversy.

His primary and secondary education. Health status and alleged drug links provided fodder for conspiracy theories.

He weathered these claims to win the presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said he polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat his co-contenders, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 6,984,520, and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi, who got 6,101,533 votes.
