Exo. 23:25: “And you shall serve the Lord your God and he shall bless thy bread and thy water and l will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”

My name is Brother Uche Uju, a pastor in The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries. I coordinate a branch in Catford, United Kingdom. The above scripture was made manifest in my life and family as l joined the church without looking back. Truly, God came to my aid and healed me of a deadly affliction.

I became a member of the church in 2005 and I appreciate God for making my family and I members of The Chosen Church. It has been awesome since we joined this great assembly. This year has really been a year of great explosion by grace indeed. I work with the government of United Kingdom (UK), and during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was affected.

I had to be in my room for two weeks. My wife and the children were separated and kept in the other room, while I was confined to the bedroom. Water and drugs were passed to me like a dog because I did not want other members of my family to be infected. We kept praying, my wife took the courage and was coming to my room for us to pray together.

At one occasion, she told God: “Your son (referring to me) who is a missionary, as well as a pastor cannot die now because he has not finished his work.” She wanted to call the ambulance, but I refused because, during that time, many people that went to the hospital did not come back. Ninety per cent of them died there.

However, as time went on, my condition became more severe and my temperature was high, my bed was shaking terribly and I didn’t know where I was, so, she decided to call the ambulance. The ambulance came, but the God of Chosen did a miracle; they refused to take me to the hospital because the doctor said I should continue to manage myself in the room as I have been doing and that there was no assurance that I would make it if I am taken to the hospital.

When the doctor left, I said it was time for me to call our General Overseer, and when I called him, he expressed shock on hearing the condition I was into, then he prayed for me, that the spirit of COVID-19 pandemic should get out of me in Jesus’ name. His prayer was very simple and short and immediately, I felt shivers all over my body, and I got up from bed and put on my tracksuit and called my wife.

She came in and was surprised at the way l was dressed. She asked what was happening; l told her that we were going for a walk. As we were walking, she kept looking at me in bewilderment and I told her that our General Overseer has prayed for me and it was all over. We went for that walk and came back and that was how COVID-19 pandemic disappeared from my system. P-r-a-i-s-e, the Lord! The God of Chosen is so great.

Note that COVID-19 pandemic took the life of many people, but no single soul was lost from the Lord’s Chosen in United Kingdom. Praise the Lord!

In another development, something happened in 2015, when our General Overseer came to the U.K. and said I should accompany him to a square where he preached openly and passers-by were looking at him, including me that accompanied him. I believe he is the first General Overseer of such calibre to preach openly in the public like that. Since then, the yoke of not preaching in the public has been broken in the U.K. and all of us over there have caught the fire. Now, all the Chosen brethren in the U.K. are publicly going for evangelism. Praise the Lord!

Furthermore, this year is truly a year of great explosion by grace. God has blessed me spiritually; He has also blessed me academically. I am a food technologist and I have worked in the University of London for nine months. In my second month, l got a scholarship to further my studies, but I did not want it because I did not want anything that will make me not to serve my God fully. While that was on, at about six months intervals, another scholarship came, this time around, l have to apply for any course I wanted and I applied to study law and the request was granted. Now, I can study law and become a solicitor. Praise the Lord! All the things l lost over the years, God of the Chosen has been restoring them one after the other to me. Praise the Lord!

God has really visited my family and I, may His name be glorified in Jesus’ name. May God continue to keep our General Overseer in Jesus’ name … Amen!
