No fewer than 11 people were feared killed following fresh attacks on Kagoro and adjourning communities in Kaura local council area of Kaduna State by terrorists.
It was gathered the attackers also burnt about 50 houses during the attacks.
A source in the area told The Guardian yesterday that many people were also injured, saying, “l cannot give you the number of those injured because people took their injured relatives to hospital for treatment.”
The source noted that normalcy had returned, with people and vehicles moving around.
“As usual, security men are moving around the area to ensure sustainable peace and avert any unforeseen attack,” he added.
When contacted to confirm the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mohammed Jalige, promised to contact the Kafanchan Area Commander and get more information but had not responded at the time of filing the report.
