Ahead of its 18th yearly law conference, the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) said it would boost lawyers’ skills and careers in its Lawyers Got Talent (LGT) 2.0.

The talent competition is for lawyers to showcase their talents and skills outside the confines of traditional legal practice.
The competition is to offer participants a chance to connect with fellow legal professionals in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration.

Reflecting on the upcoming event, the Chairman of the 2024 NBA-SBL Conference Planning Committee, Ose Okpeku, expressed enthusiasm for the diverse talents that the competition will showcase.

“Our legal community is brimming with creativity and passion, and Lawyers Got Talent provides a platform to celebrate and honour these talents. We look forward to an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration and entertainment, Okpeku stated.

According to the NBA-SBL, this year’s LGT is expected to deliver a heightened level of excitement and thrill.

It added that attendees can expect an evening filled with pleasant surprises, entertainment, excitement, and mirth.

Speaking further, Okpeku said to qualify for the talent showcase, interested participants are to submit a one-minute video showcasing their talent in one of the following categories: music (voice and instruments), poetry (Spoken words), or comedy.

“Submissions should be sent to nbasblconference@gmail.com no later than May 2, 2024. To be eligible for the talent show, participants must also register for the conference, adding that there are exciting incentives to secure their spots.

“Prizes await the most outstanding performers, with cash rewards totaling over N2,000,000 for the top three winners,” he said and urged lawyers to visit the NBA-SBL website to register.
