Next Afrobeat stars judges

After a successful run with flagship shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Project Fame and Family Feud, prominent production company Ultima Studios is back with a pop-culture talent discovery show dubbed, The Next Afrobeats Star.

As the show gears up for its debut in April, the organisers have unveiled acclaimed music producers Sarz, P.Priime, Puffy Tee, and Andre Vibez as the inaugural judges for the show.

According to the organisers, “The Next Afrobeats Star is an unscripted music talent show that is dedicated to discovering hidden afrobeats gems across Nigeria, Africa, the United Kingdom, North America and other parts of the world with a thriving afrobeats community. It will be televised through 10 weeks, with fierce competition and stunning performances guaranteed.

“With the increased global acceptance of African music, and the equally encouraging rise of international music super pop stars like Asake, Rema, Tems et al from Nigeria, Ultima Studios is looking to contribute to this exchange of music culture from Africa to the world through this new show.”

With decades of experience in producing local reality shows in Africa, adapting foreign ones and an army of uber-talented personnel, Ultima Studios sits at a vantage point and as a result, happens to unarguably be the most appropriate outfit to be hunting for Africa’s next biggest pop star.
