Sanwo-Olu celebrates birthday with physically challenged children

Tinubu congratulates Lagos gov, Gbajabiamila on birthday

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday, marked his 59th birthday with 250 children with disabilities from 17 schools drawn across the state.


The programme, tagged, “Governor’s Day with Children living with Disabilities,” was organised by the state’s Executive Council members as part of activities to celebrate the governor on his birthday.

The state’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, who lauded the governor for his love for children, especially those with special needs, promised, on behalf of the governor and the executive council members, to gift the children and their teachers bags of rice, while also appreciating them for celebrating with the governor.

Earlier in his sermon during a thanksgiving service organised as part of the celebrations, the Presiding Chaplain, Chapel of the Lagos House, Marina, Revd. Dele Ajayi, said the governor’s birthday was worth celebrating for God’s faithfulness over his life and family.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Sanwo-Olu on his birthday. Special Adviser to the President, Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said this in a statement in Abuja, yesterday. Also, Tinubu, in a statement by Ngelale, extended warm congratulations to his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on his birthday.
