Rivers to hold investment summit for economic growth

An economic and investment summit to drive meaningful change and sustainable development in Rivers State has been scheduled to be held from May 23 to 24, 2024, in Port Harcourt, the state’s capital.

The River State Economic & Investment Summit 2024, according to its organisers, has been planned to bring together leaders, innovators and experts from various sectors to discuss and deliberate on key issues affecting economic growth and development in Rivers State.

According to a statement by the organisers, the summit will, among other things, focus on fostering collaboration, sharing insights and exploring opportunities.

To drive the conversation, a team of experts has been assembled to dissect the theme, ‘Education & Technology: Empowering Leaders of Tomorrow; Educating Rivers State Youth for the Digital Economy.’

The leader of the summit’s organising committee, Chibeoso Aholu, in the statement, described the event as another forum to harvest inputs for the development of the state.

The statement reads: “The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Rivers Emerge: Revealing Pathways to Economic Growth and Sustainability,’ and we are confident that the perspectives of our panelists will contribute significantly to the collective understanding of challenges and opportunities ahead.

“There will be an opportunity to address a diverse audience of industry professionals, policymakers, academics and stakeholders. Additionally, there will be ample chance to network with other thought leaders and exchange ideas that can shape the future of our economy.”
