PR firm wins big at SABRE awards

A communications consulting firm, Chain Reactions Africa, has emerged as a winner at the 2024 SABRE awards, clinching seven awards for championing efficient and effective public relations campaigns.

These campaigns have earned Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a diamond SABRE award for the use of public relations to tell the story of his administration’s achievements and Managing Director (MD), Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Abimbola Akinajo, as CEO of the year 2024 for the Lagos Blue Rail initiative.

Chain Reactions Africa also secured global honours for the Lagos Blue Rail initiative and was recognised for the dexterous use of public relations to enable citizens.

The organisation emerged winner in the Diamond SABRE award category for superior achievement in reputation management, ‘The Hack – Expand Your Hustle’ campaign for 9mobile. Winning also in the crisis and issues management practice area category for its role in handling the issues and managing the crisis associated with the fuel subsidy removal and the employee communications category for its ‘Next Era of Happiness’ campaign for Pladis Foods Nigeria Limited during its rebranding exercise and name change from A& P Foods Limited.

In his reaction, President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku described the awards by Chain Reactions Africa as “a harvest of honours for Nigeria”.

He thanked the Chain Reactions Africa team for their outstanding works saying, “thank you for making us proud.”
