Police neutralise five terrorists, rescue 100 abducted victims in Katsina

Katsina State Police Command has said it neutralised five suspected terrorists as well as rescued 100 kidnapped victims within the month of March this year.

The spokesperson for the command, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, who made this known, in a statement, said it arrested 11 suspected murderers, 29 rapists and 19 others for committing various offences that include theft during the period under review.


He added that 51 cases of major crimes were reported, 30 of the persons involved were charged to court, though 64 suspects were arrested in connection with the cases.

The command said it succeeded in neutralising five suspected bandits, rescuing over 100 kidnapped victims, and recovered 658 rustled animals.
