The police have confirmed that bandits killed four of its officers along Gusau-Bungudu road in Zamfara State.
Zamfara State police command spokesman Yazid Abubakar confirmed the killing of the officers in a statement.
Abubakar said the security personnel were ambushed by the terrorists while on a stop-and-search Patrol along the road.
He said three of the slain Policemen were officers of the Command, while the other one was a constabulary.
Despite the sad incident, Abubakar maintained that it would not deter the command in its renewed commitment to achieving lasting peace in the state.
Also, it was gathered that the terrorists also killed one person in Tagero village, which is located in the Furfuri area of Bungudu Local Government in Zamfara.
