Plateau Attack: Pastor Bolaji of Harvesters visits communities, donates N10 million worth relief items to victims

The Lead Pastor of Harvester International Church, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, has donated N10million worth of relief items to communities that were affected by the recent bandit attack, which claimed scores of lives and property in Plateau State.

The attack on 15 villages in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi local government of Plateau State on Christmas Eve, which resulted in the death of over 115 individuals and the destruction of 221 houses, left numerous families mourning the loss of their loved ones, property, and businesses.

Recognising the urgent need for support, Pastor Idowu, driven by a compassion for humanity, led Harvesters Church in collaboration with the Harvesters Africa Empowerment Foundation to donate truckloads of relief materials and food to the communities affected by the attack.
The relief materials include mattresses, clothes, shoes, bags, baby cots and so on.

Speaking about the initiative, Idowu said: “Foodstuffs are more affordable in the north than in the south. So, we bought N10 million worth of food in the north to give out to the people.”

The relief items were distributed with the assistance of local volunteers, community leaders, and delegates from the Harvesters Church, ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most. According to one of the recipients, “The relief materials and the presence of the Harvesters delegates brought smiles and rekindled hope for a better and safer Nigeria.”

Speaking to journalists during the condolence visit, Pastor Idowu encouraged other well-meaning Nigerians to also spread love and care through giving to those in need. “Let your hearts of compassion be opened because people are suffering and going through a lot. Take your time and think of how to be a blessing in this time,” he said.
