On the auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday, Chief Dapo Sarumi has been described as one of the principled icons on the political terrain of Nigeria.
Making the description was the Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. (Arc.) Setonji Koshoedo in a congratulatory message he issued to celebrate the foremost politician on the occasion of his birthday.
Koshoedo said Chief Sarumi stood the test of time in his political career because he is a professional in politics and not a professional politician.
While praying for more years in good health and sound, sane mind for the astute politician, Koshoedo urged him to continue to make his wealth of experience available to those behind for the entrenchment of positive values and the principle of selflessness in politics in the nation at large and in the Peoples Democratic Party in particular.
