Nigerian fuji singer Pasuma has revealed his upcoming marriage plans at the age of 55, after fathering 10 children.
Pasuma revealed his intentions during an exclusive interview with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, following the one-year remembrance of his late mother, Alhaja Adijat Kuburat, who passed away in April last year.
Asked about his marriage plans, Pasuma responded, “People have been asking me this question for 20, 30 years, and here you are, still asking at this stage of my life. Don’t worry, I will soon get married after celebrating my mum’s one-year anniversary.”
Recall he once revealed last year when asked about who his wife is, he answered; “There are lots of women that have been linked with me. But you see, I need to take my time and not rush into anything that may make me end up in tears”.
While also clearing the rumours of whether he and Popular Yoruba actress Iyabo Ojo were in a relationship, Pasuma said; “We have not dated before, and we are not dating. The idea has not crossed our minds. We are friends and that is enough for us”. The answers to most of the questions about his plans about marrying any woman in the future were something like this: “I can’t tell. When the time comes, I will know and you will know”.
Reflecting on the loss of his mother, the fuji icon expressed deep emotions, saying, “It has happened. There is nothing I can do about it. I love my mum. If I was asked to give anything in exchange for her life, I would have gladly done that. But that’s what God wanted, so I have to let her go. She had suffered a lot. I did my best to take care of her. It’s not easy losing mum or someone close to your heart.”
