OPC member shoves sexagenarian to death in Ondo

A member of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), also known as ‘Slow’ has allegedly killed a sexagenarian, Prince Adesoji Adesida, after pushing him to death in Akure, the Ondo State capital.  Adesida was allegedly pushed while trying to settle a dispute between Akinwale and his girlfriend.
 
The incident occurred over the weekend at a funeral at the DOME, Alagbaka, Akure. It was gathered that Akinwale had attacked her girlfriend over an accusation that she was exchanging mobile numbers with another man. sources said Akinwale became enraged and shoved the victim after the deceased tried to stop him from beating his girlfriend.
  
An eyewitness disclosed that when Akinwale pushed the late Adesoji, he hit his head on the wall and was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
  
Meanwhile, the suspect had been arrested by the police and detained at Ala station in Akure. Spokesperson for Ondo State Police Command, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident , said the suspect had been arrested and investigation had commenced on the case.
