Ondo guber: ADP beckons on electorates to reject crisis- ridden APC, support Akinnodi

Action Democratic Party (ADP)

Ahead of the Ondo state governorship poll, the opposition Action Democratic Party (ADP) has beckoned on the electorates in the state to reject what it termed the “crisis -ridden” All progressives Congress (APC) led administration in the state.

ADP”s National Chairman, Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani called on the citizenry in Ondo state to see the infighting among the chieftains of the APC in the state as a wake up call to reconsider his party with credible candidates.

Sani spoke at the party national secretariat in Abuja while presenting the certificate of return to Hon Ayodeji Emmanuel Akinnodi following a successful primary election held on April 25 at the Watts Garden Hotel in Akure, Ondo State.

He said the successful conduct of the primary spoke volume of ADP’s dedication to not only internal democracy but to serve the interests of the people of Ondo State.

Sani contended that a party in the mould of the APC plagued by internal discord cannot govern effectively or implement policies that benefit the populace in Ondo state.

Said he: “I encourage the citizens of Ondo State to consider their options carefully; a wrong choice could result in continued poor governance. We have repeatedly missed opportunities for positive
change, and just when it seems we are making progress, we fall back into greater difficulties. Ondo
State has the chance to lead by example and initiate genuine, meaningful change.”

“I urge the people of Ondo State to be wary of parties embroiled in internal conflicts, those that fail to keep their promises, and those that cling to power without a commitment to service and public welfare.

” It’s time to move past the political parties that have led us to
poverty, frustration, and despair. I call on Ondo State to lead the way in Nigeria’s transformation by electing a dedicated, thoughtful, and charismatic leader. The time for change is now, and the ADP is fully committed to this journey.

Akinnodi who expressed gratitude to the party pledged to harness the human and natural resources in the state to reposition the state for sustainable growth and development.

He particularly singled out security, provision of healthcare, educational facilities and electricity across the 18 local councils of the state if voted into power.
