Ogun council chairman declares Lisabi Day festival open

Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Council, Adebayo Abudulsalam Ayorinde, has declared open the 37th edition of the pre-yearly EgbaLisabi Day Festival with Ayo Olopon competition.


Ayorinde, therefore, appreciated God for the successes recorded in last year’s edition and commended the organisers for this year’s 2024 edition of the Ayo Olopon competition, which is an integral part of the games for the entire festivity.

The competition’s grand finale will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Ake Palace, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Meanwhile, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has said that the hardship Nigerians are currently grappling with as a result of fuel subsidy removal will soon be a thing of the past.

Oba Gbadebo gave the assurance during a media briefing held at the Ake Palace to herald the Lisabi festival beginning on March 4, 2024.

However, the Seaman’s Schnapps team, led by Marketing Manager, Gbemileke Lawal; Trade Marketing Manager, Sylvester Nwanze and Activation Manager, Benson Oluwafiropo, paid a courtesy visit to Oba Gbadebo to extend heartfelt felicitations to the monarch, chiefs, and all indigenes of the historic kingdom in anticipation of the celebration.

Oba Gbadebo, who commended the firm for its steadfast dedication to supporting the Lisabi Festival and preserving the rich heritage of Egba traditions, also extended heartfelt wishes for Grand Oak’s management and success across its diverse operations.
