The Osun Development Association (ODA), a distinguished assembly of non-partisan Osun State elders, thought leaders, technocrats, and professionals, is set to hold a grand reception and honours event in celebration and appreciation of its founding members.

The event, which is scheduled to be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, is designed as a mark of tribute in honour of the visionaries who laid the foundation for the association.

The association’s Chairman, Dr Segun Aina, noted: “We are privileged to recognise and honour the late Benjamin Adigun, Prof. Olu Aina, Inaolaji Aboaba, Tunde Ponnle, the late Duro Oyinlola, and the late Prof. Tunde Odetola. Their legacies continue to inspire us.”

He said that the event would also honour the commitment and dedication of Lt.-Gen Alani Akinrinade (rtd) and Joana Maduka, who are current members of the Board of Trustees saying: “Their dedication to Osun State’s progress is invaluable.”

The grand reception also serves as an opportunity to inaugurate the ODA Council of Elders as well as induction of new members who have been recently admitted.

“The programme will include tributes to founding members, presentations showcasing ODA’s past achievements, inauguration of the Elders Council, induction of new members and discussions on plans for Osun State’s development. Our goal is to propel Osun State towards a prosperous future through strategic initiatives,” Aina further said.

The keynote address, according to him, will be delivered by the Director-General of Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, Seye Oyeleye.
