NUJ seeks partnership with Akwa-Ibom government

Akwa Ibom State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Amos Etuk, has solicited greater partnership between the Union and the state government.
Etuk spoke on Saturday at the NUJ Press Centre, Uyo, when the management of the Minsitry of Information and Strategy paid him a visit.


 
The NUJ chairman, who was surprised by the visit, expressed appreciation to Ini Ememobong, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, who he described as “a man with quality leadership skills”, for the honour done to him.

“I thank the commissioner, the Permanent Secretary and, in deed, the entire management of the ministry for visiting me on my birthday. and the NUJ thank the ministry for this and do not take it for granted.
“It is my earnest hope that with this show, the partnership between the NUJ and the Ministry will flourish and God will grant Ememobong the knowledge and wisdom to consolidate on the numerous strides he has so far recorded,” he said.
 
Etuk extended his appreciation to the Director of Public Relations, Mrs Grace Akpan, who ensured the success of the visit.

Earlier, Akpan had conveyed the goodwill and felicitations of the commissioner; Permanent Secretary, Akparawa James Edet, management and the entire staff of the ministry to the NUJ chairman.
