NMA lauds Bello’s investment in Kogi health sector

Yahaya bello

Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kogi State chapter, has lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for his investments in the health sector, declaring that the governor’s giant strides in the sector are unmatched in the country.

According to the medical doctors, under Bello, the health sector received the greatest attention, as has never been witnessed in the state.

In a goodwill message to the governor, signed by its Chairman, Baoku Olusola, and Secretary, Jonah Kelvin, Kogi NMA heaped praises on Bello for prioritising the health sector and funding it massively.

The doctors maintained that the infrastructure and plethora of other healthcare facilities built by Bello’s administration made Kogi health sector a model to other states.

While appreciating the governor for approving the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS) and the hazard allowance of doctors in Kogi, even when 26 other states of the federation had yet to implement any, the association told the two-term governor: “Your name has been written in gold and you will never be forgotten as the conqueror.”

“All the doctors in Kogi write to express our profound gratitude to Your Excellency on the unprecedented, unmatched and indelible mark you have made in the health sector in the state. We appreciate your giant strides since your divine assumption into the office of the Executive Governor of Kogi State (eight years ago).”

Affirming that Bello is the greatest gift to Kogi, the doctors prayed God to continue resting his mother’s soul.

The added: “As we celebrate this festive period, we wish you many more years in life.”
