Super Eagles striker, Umar Sadiq, has issued a serious warning to people trying to bully him on social media.

Sadiq, who missed the just-concluded 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast due to injury, issued this warning on Instagram after Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi was trolled online for his performance in the final against the host country.

Online bullies hit out hard on Iwobi, accusing him of underperforming in the Super Eagles’ 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Iwobi thereafter deleted all the pictures on his Instagram page.

The bullies did not stop there as they went for Sadiq who was not even a part of the Super Eagles’ squad for AFCON 2023. This got the Real Sociedad striker angry.

“I no even play, you con dey insult me,” an angry Sadiq wrote on his Instagram story.

“Abeg oo, me I no be iwobi. I go Insult person papa with him mama join. Yes, I be dat topical Hausa boy. Abi you see fear for my eyes?”

“I no be Iwobi I go insult person papa with him mama join yes I be dat typical hausa boy abi u see fear for my eyes.

“Pushing someone into depression & mental breakdown. Yet you want life to be better for you, e no fit ever better for una! Vagabonds!!!”

Sadiq is set to make his 30th appearance of the season for Sociedad which face Paris Saint-Germain in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday.

Sadiq built much of his reputation in the Segunda Division with Almeria, showcasing his scoring prowess with 38 goals in 2020/21 and 2021/22 but has struggled this season.

A significant injury marred his subsequent transfer to Sociedad, hindering his performance and so far this season, he has just two goals and an assist in 29 overall games.
