Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first woman to be elected president of an African nation, once said, “If your dream does not scare you, it is not big enough.” This quote resonates deeply with Nigerian content creator and model Benjamin Bassey Effiong, fondly referred to as Yallmeetbernie, whose biggest ambition is to model for global brands.

From a young age, Yallmeetbernie, also known as the King of TikTok, has been driven by the passion to chase his dream. Growing up in a family of four with his parents and brother, his love for art and creativity shaped his journey. An influencer, singer, and actor, Yallmeetbernie’s ultimate goal is to gain global recognition as a model.

Despite the significant impact of his father’s presence, his passing did not deter Yallmeetbernie from pursuing education and achieving his aspirations. An accomplished content creator with a substantial social media following, Yallmeetbernie’s talent and ingenuity are evident in his work.

Yallmeetbernie studied Mass Communication at Lagos State University of Science and Technology. He has been involved in several projects for global brands such as Oppo, Itel, Indrive, and Rida, and has promoted numerous music tracks like ‘Ogechi,’ which is currently trending, and ‘Salam’ by Neeja. With his first song set to drop soon and his aspirations for the fashion runway in New York, he said, “I have the ambition to model globally, and I’m working on it. I sing too, and I’m about to drop my first song.”

Known for his premium taste, Yallmeetbernie fits perfectly into the profile of a king. He has featured in several skits with fellow content creator Sophia Etomi, whom he admires deeply. “My Nigerian celebrity crush is Etomi Sophia. Why? Because she’s Sophia,” he confessed.

Yallmeetbernie’s journey has not been without challenges. His mother initially wanted him to follow a different career path, but his successes have assured her that he was right. He also credits his manager for his rapid rise in the competitive creative social media space. “I’ve received a lot of help many times, but help from the right people is what matters. My manager, Mr Sam, has been of great help to me, and I owe him so much,” emphasised Yallmeetbernie.

As Yallmeetbernie continues to work towards his dream of modelling on a global stage, his story serves as an inspiration to many aspiring content creators and models in Nigeria and beyond. His dedication, creativity, and resilience highlight the possibilities that come with pursuing one’s passion relentlessly.
