NGO redefines love to make more meaning for parents, offspring

An initiative of Dame Wurola Williams, ‘Impact and Inspire’, has redefined love to make the word more meaningful to parents and children. Williams made the redefinition following the age-long amoral attachment during an audience with pupils of Lagos State Correctional Centre for Girls within the Mushin area of the metropolis.

Speaking through her representative and coordinator, Ola Jason Ojora, the convener maintained that it was time to give a broader, more understanding and acceptable perspective of love for more cogent meaning to both parents and children.

Her words: “Love could be inspired and spread by parents to their children in a dining table setting during meals. While eating, a child who wants to learn new vocabularies, could use the golden chance provided by the forum to ask the parents a question that would throw light on words he’s not familiar with, thereby understanding the new words better for usage amid friends, making himself and parents proud at the end. With this, you can see now that the definition of love is not actually restricted to the amorous perspective. It is broader, just as I have demonstrated with this example.”

Master of Ceremony (MC), Mr. Champion, creatively created a social interactive session, which enabled the girls to eat, wine and dance, thereby practicalising the scenario Ojora spoke about much earlier.
