‘NBAWF confab to promote PWDs inclusion, technology’

The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) has said that its conference will focus on role of technology in career development and ensure accessibility for People Living With Disabilities (PWDs).

Chairperson, NBAWF, Chinyere Okorocha, disclosed this in Lagos at a media parley on the forth-coming NBAWF third yearly conference scheduled to hold in Abuja on March 30 and 31.

Okorocha said the conference would provide opportunities for participants to network with people with experiences and learn new technologies women are using to scale through in their professional careers.

She said that the NBAWF aimed to address all matters female lawyers may have, with focus on the gender needs and network with the aim of career advancement.

Besides, she noted that female lawyers have a role to play in global economy and effect policies that empower them for success.

Chairperson, Conference Planning Committee (CPC), Foluke Dada, speaking on the conference, said it would start with a fireside chat on March 29, 2023 by 6:00 p.m. where women would learn from the experiences and success stories of others.

The conference, according to her, would also feature welcome addresses, keynote speeches, panel sessions and training.

“We will have panel sessions on equity and technology, outlook and trends in technology that would impact policy, among others,” she said.

She added that there would be training on data protection and privacy and discussion around proper dressing at the Bar.
