LG boss happy with voter turn-out, orderliness

plateauMr Samuel Goar, the Chairman of Pankshin Local Government of Plateau, has expressed satisfaction with the large turn-out of voters in the rural areas of Pankshin.

“The turn-out is impressive, though it does appear lower than what we witnessed two weeks ago.’’

Goar told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), after being accredited in the outskirts of Pankshin, that he was  impressed with the orderly conduct of the voters.

He said that they had been “very patient, calm and friendly’’.

The chairman said he was particularly happy that the Card Readers worked perfectly, pointing that the reverse was the case in the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly polls.

He commended INEC officials for arriving on time for the exercise, stressing that it eased the accreditation processes and reduced the waiting period.

Goar called for fairness by INEC and vigilance by political party agents, to ensure transparency and openness in the exercise.
