The reigning league champions, who survived Niger United’s onslaught on Wednesday, were not lucky against Tojemarine, as they were exposed in the rear to lose 19-23.

Tojemarine’s coach, Bright Agubata, described the victory, as a good one for his team, noting that such performances would spur them to win the league.

“It was a great performance by the boys. Efforts like this will help us do well in the league. It is a marathon and hopefully, we will be strong till the end. Other teams have also been fantastic and competition has been stiff,” he said.
