In a show of love and support to women, wife of the Accountant General of Kogi State, Hajia zainab Jibrin, has distributed food items, clothing and cash gifts to over 5,000 women across four communities in Kogi Local Council.
While distributing the items during a community outreach across Koton-Karfi, Gegu Beki, Uhana and Edaha communities, Hajia Zainab said it has always been her desire to reach out to the needy and support her fellow women with her little resources.
“I am appreciative of the kind hearted and generous husband God has blessed me with. He has always been supportive and a pillar to my vision and charity work. May Allah continue to bless him and grant all his desires,” she said.
The beneficiaries were full of joy as they sang and danced in appreciation. One of them and a mother of five, Mallama Rakiyat Usman, said her joy is immeasurable as the gesture couldn’t have come at a better time, especially with the challenges of naira note scarcity. She stressed that the food, cash gift and wrapper will go a long way to help her family.
In separate responses, Ohimege of the IGU kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Alh. Abdulrazak Isah Koto, Chief of Gegu Beki, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Muhammad Alhassan Abba and Chief of Uhana, HRH Alhaji Isa Ohikwo Aliyu , while receiving the charity team in their palaces, appreciated Hajia Zainab for her show of love to her fellow women and the husband, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh for his support and permitting his amiable wife to reach out to her fellow women.
The royal fathers admonished Nigerians to emulate the character and gesture of Hajia Zainab, saying ‘she is a true daughter that every community should be proud of.’They prayed for the team and the nation at large.
