Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi State has relieved his Special Adviser on Youths of his appointment, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Ahmed Idris, yesterday.Â
The aide’s sacking was because of a post on his WhatsApp status, which the government considered indecent. The governor, who was enraged by the development, said the aide trampled on the moral and social ethos of Kebbi society, which is largely Islamic.
He said his administration would not condone any of such acts that denigrate the morality and integrity of Kebbi people. Idris also cautioned other public officers against making such scandalous posts on their social media handles and other public fora.
