Kalu Joseph Ude, the visionary director at Flashride, has been bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree by Prowess University, Delaware, a prestigious institution based in the United States.
The momentous occasion took place amidst grandeur in Uganda, underscoring Ude’s remarkable achievements and contributions to the technology sector, particularly his impactful role within Flashride.
Expressing his sentiments on receiving this esteemed recognition, Ude remarked, “It feels good. It is an incredible honor and recognition for one’s contributions and achievements in the technology sector as well as my impact in Flashride. It is an amazing experience knowing that my work has been acknowledged by esteemed individuals and institutions. Being recognized is a powerful affirmation of the goals and values of Flashride. It is a validation of the efforts of Flashride and a proof of the positive impact Flashride is making on society.”
Ude shed light on the organizers of the award ceremony, stating, “The award was given by the under 40 CEOs Africa, and the honorary doctorate was conferred by Prowess University, Delaware. They selected recipients based on merit as well as their contributions to their industry and society.”
In his address to aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly young Nigerians, Ude emphasized the importance of embracing innovation. He advised, “To make a positive impact as aspiring entrepreneurs and social innovators, you need to embrace innovation, clarify your purpose, be creative, build partnerships, be persistent, communicate, and most importantly, don’t give up.”
