President Bola Tinubu has said that the Federal Government will work diligently to make sure that every Nigerian feels the impact of his administration.

Tinubu said this in a New Year message on Monday in Lagos even as the President addressed Nigerians while wishing them the best of 2024.

“We will work diligently to make sure every Nigerian feels the impact of their government,” he said.

“The economic aspirations and the material well-being of the poor, the most vulnerable and the working people shall not be neglected.

“It is in this spirit that we are going to implement a new national living wage for our industrious workers this New Year.

“It is not only good economics to do this, it is also a morally and politically correct thing to do.

“Having laid the groundwork of our economic recovery plans within the last seven months of 2023, we are now poised to accelerate the pace of our service delivery across sectors.”

Tinubu said he took an oath to serve this country and give his best at all times and that he is going to do.

He added that like he said in the past, no excuse for poor performance from any of his appointees will be good enough.

According to him, this is the reason he put in place a Policy Coordination, Evaluation, Monitoring and Delivery Unit in the Presidency to make sure that governance output improves the living condition of the people.

The President stated that his administration has set the parameters for evaluation and as such, within the first quarter of this new year, the Ministers and Heads of Agencies with a future in this administration that he leads will continue to show themselves.
