Renowned gospel singer, Rev Ifueko Charmien Ebhota, professionally known as Ifueko Charmien, is ready to captivate the music industry with her upcoming album, following the successful releases of ‘My Worship’ and ‘Majesty’.
Originally from Benin, Edo State, but now based in Ghana, the 50-year-old artist has dedicated her life to music ministry. Starting in the choir at just 12 years, Ifueko Charmien began composing her own songs at 16, eventually leading to the debut of her first album in 2015.
The pivotal moment that ignited her musical career was a conversation with her husband, who urged her to transition from the choir to a more significant platform. “My husband said, ‘Honey, it’s time to release an album. You have been a blessing to many churches – it’s time for the next level,'” she recounts. With unwavering support from her husband and guidance from her pastor, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams and close friend Bro Terry, Ifueko Charmien found her musical calling in the realms of Gospel, Pop, and Soul.
Specialising in calling individuals to intimacy and stirring a righteous discontent with limitations, Ifueko Charmien’s music is deeply rooted in the scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and the teachings of her mentor, affectionately known as ‘Papa’. Her songs exude a powerful aura of healing and renewal, establishing her as a beacon of hope in the Gospel music sector.
While her performances at prominent events like the Akwa Ibom carols night in Nigeria, Women In Worship concert, and Adom Praise in Ghana have garnered acclaims, Ifueko Charmien finds solace in ministering at her local church every Sunday. Currently working on her latest album, fans can anticipate an unparalleled musical journey that transcends boundaries.
In addition to her music career, Ifueko Charmien conducts the annual “KATARTIZO” worship and music conference, along with the ‘Pivot’ women’s conference under the umbrella of ‘Deborah’s Company’ demonstrating her commitment to empowering and inspiring through various platforms.
