Gbemiro Daniel: ‘Being a project manager can be challenging’

For Gbemiro Daniel Owolabi being a top label and project manager can be challenging. The dedicated professional with a diverse background and a true passion for music disclosed this to The Guardian.

Currently a label manager at Sony Music Entertainment West Africa, where he manages the portfolios of global talents such as Beyonce, Travis Scott, David, Wizkid, Libianca, and more, he shares some of his most challenging experiences in the industry


He noted that ensuring collaboration between top multiple artistes could be very challenging. “One challenging project involved managing high-profile collaboration between multiple artists with conflicting schedules and creative visions,” he said.

“To navigate this, I facilitated open communication channels, negotiated compromises where necessary, and established clear roles and responsibilities to ensure alignment and accountability. Through proactive problem-solving and effective conflict resolution, we were able to overcome obstacles and deliver a successful project that exceeded expectations,” he added.
