As part of activities lined up for its launch, the Support Association for Fibroids Awareness (SAFA) will provide free consultation for women living with fibroids and non-surgical fibroids removal.
The Manager, Support Association for Fibroids Awareness (SAFA), Wemimo Adewuni, disclosed that one participant at the outreach today (February 24) at Jalupon Estate Field off Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere, will get a chance to win a free High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology treatment through a raffle draw.
“Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths of the uterus that often appear during childbearing years. They can cause a range of symptoms, including heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and reproductive issues.
“Despite the high prevalence of uterine fibroids, there is a lack of awareness about the condition and its treatment options. SAFA’s mission is to fill this gap by providing education and support to individuals affected by uterine fibroids. The organization offers resources and information on the signs and symptoms of uterine fibroids, available treatment options, and the importance of early detection. SAFA also provides a platform for individuals to share their experiences and connect with others who are facing similar challenges.”
