Former Unilag VC, Chibueze, others to speak at RECALP 2024

Immediate past Vice- Chancellor, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Prof. Toyin Ogundipe, will lead other notable speakers at the 10th edition of RECALP, an annual youth empowerment programme of the Young Adults and Youth Affairs(YAYA) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Lagos Province 19 holding at the Main Auditorium of University of Lagos on June 12.


Other speakers include; Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Lagos State, Mrs Cecilia Bolaji; Managing Director, First Registrars, Mr. Bayo Olugbimi; Relationship coach and founder Made4More, Ifeoma Obaro; Lead Consultant, MIND, Noruwa Edokpolo; Principal Counsel, Doyin Awoyale & Co., Doyin Awoyale and Co-Founder, PeggyVest, Joshua Chibueze.

According to the Convener and Regional Youth Pastor, RECALP, Pastor Femi Aminu, the theme for the 10th anniversary of RECALP, Zero to Hero, is aimed at raising and equipping the next generation of youths to change the world with God’s oriented culture, ethics and attitude.

He explained that the speakers will be speaking on relationship, entrepreneurship, career, leadership among other areas.

“It is about keeping hope alive in hard and tough times and if hope is alive , there will be a way and a future. Our youths should dream that they can move from nothing or the unknown to become significant and known for something great,” he said.

Commenting on RELCALP 2024, Host/Pastor in charge of Lagos Province 19, Pastor Cyprian Orakpo, said: “RELCAP 2024 couldn’t have come at a better time than now when the youth of Nigeria are seeking answers to myriad of problems confronting them; from career to relationship, service to God and humanity, leadership, among others. I am delighted by the quality of our guest speakers who by their qualifications, positions and experiences will speak to these issues confronting the youth from a Christian perspective. I want to commend Pastor Aminu and his team for a wonderful job done in putting this together”.

Tunde Onakoya, the Founder of Chess in Slums and Guinness World Record holder for the longest marathon chess game will also be making a special appearance at the event.
