Former lawmaker calls For love, togetherness among Nigerians


Former Lawmaker, who represented Oshodi/Isolo ll in Lagos State Constituency in the 9th Assembly, Jude Chukwuemeka Omobowale ldimogu, has called on Nigerians to love one another, live in peace and pray for the newly elected leaders of the nation.


He stated this during an interactive session, during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, adding that the act of selflessness, piety, almsgiving and patriotism must be imbibed always.

He urged Nigerians, especially the Muslims faithful to uphold the exemplary and outstanding qualities of Prophet Muhammed in their daily pursuit.

He said: “I congratulate our Muslims brothers and sisters on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. This is yet another opportunity for sober reflections as a nation for us to live in peace, love, togetherness and making sacrifices as stated by Prophet Muhammed.”

He stated the celebration is mostly for eating and drinking but however, Nigerians should extend the love and sacrifice to one another not minding our religions and tribes but seeing themselves as one entity.

The lgbo Deputy Apex leader, went further to appeal to Nigerians to use this period of sacrifice and pray for the progress of the nation and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is on a renewed hope mission.

He appealed to the government to make sacrifices in terms of cost of governance, adding that making sacrifices should be collective efforts of both the government and its citizenry.

He said: “We know that the president has already taken tough decisions in terms of removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the currency, these are tough economic policies which we know that with time we are going to see the positive results and the desired hope promised by this administration.

Idimogu commended Mr. President on his efforts in restructuring the country and giving Nigerians, especially in the security of lives and properties.

He said the president should also focus more in restoring our oil refineries and pipelines thereby reducing the oil thieves in the nation.

ldimogu urged Nigerians to remain law abiding as they celebrate this year Eid-El-Kabir as Muslims faithful joined their counterparts all over the world to offer prayers for peace of the nation.
