Firm pledges support for improved policing

A firm, Global Transport Policy News and Services (GTP), has pledged to support the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade, towards improving the security of life and property in the state.

Chairman and Chief Consultant of the firm, Dr Oluwasegun Musa, gave the pledge when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the CP.

He said the firm was ready to partner with the command by offering free training of Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs).

He said the training, which is part of GTP’s Corporate Social Responsibility, will equip the police officers with knowledge and skills to enhance their work in traffic management.

Musa, a former Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, commended the CP’s dedication and commitment to transforming the Lagos State police workforce.

He said: “The training will focus on crucial issues, including developing self-awareness and self-regulation to manage stress and emotions effectively, enhancing empathy and social skills for better communication and conflict resolution by applying emotional intelligence techniques in real-life traffic scenarios to de-escalate conflicts and promote cooperation.”
