Firm organises essay competition for law undergraduates


A commercial law firm, DealHQ Partners, has called for essay entries in its yearly law undergraduates essay competition. The competition is focused on driving youth conversations around emerging trends in the firm’s practice areas.


In line with the firm’s deep commitment to knowledge management through stakeholder engagements and active conversations that birth solutions, influence business practices, drive policy changes, and ultimately, deepen the performance of enterprises within its practice demography.

The competition also focuses on promoting research and policy advocacy among law undergraduates in Nigerian Universities by providing a platform for the student community to participate effectively in economic and political re-engineering driven by forward thinking and innovation, which are synonymous with youth.

The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Nigeria’s Climate Action Strategy: How Policy and Regulation will enable Nigeria’s journey to achieving sustainable economic development and its proposed 2060 Net Zero target’.

The competition is to deepen legal research around free trade policies in Africa amongst law undergraduates. It is open to law students in 300 level to 500 level across Nigerian universities.

The competition, which opened entries from January 13, 2023, closes on February 24, 2023. The finalists will win cash prizes as well as internship and mentorship opportunities with DealHQ Partners and other partner institutions.
