Firm advocates business aviation integration for African leaders

The Chief Executive Officer of Vivajets, Chukwuerika Achum, has identified business aviation as a crucial success enabler for leaders on the continent.

He said this at the just-concluded Africa CEO Forum, a yearly conference held in Kigali, Rwanda, where the issues of leadership, integration, finance and technology often dominate discussions.

Achum maintained that business aviation is a success enabler for the 21st-century African leader.

He added that despite progressive collaborative policies like the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), business integration was still a challenge in Africa as language, political and geographical barriers limit collaborations.

He stressed that ambitious leaders on the continent are increasingly leveraging business aviation to overcome the obstacles.

According to him, as Africa continues to develop, the role of business aviation will become increasingly significant.

Noting that Vivajets is poised to lead the transformation, he said this would ensure that African leaders have the tools they need to succeed in a globalised economy.

He said that through innovation and a focus on inclusivity, they were contributing to efforts at shaping a brighter future for Africa.

Similarly, Chief Operating Officer of Vivajets, Tejumade Salami, said the firm was leveraging innovation to make business aviation more accessible and affordable, thereby democratising access to an often-exclusive service.

Both public and private sector leaders who spoke at the event canvassed for more business integration.

The host and President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, said: “It is our responsibility to ensure that deeper integration translates into prosperity and well-being for Africa’s people.
