Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, gave the charge to the Provost, Dr. Sunday Etukudoh, yesterday, when he visited the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Jos, with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Mohammad Abubakar.
Nigeria is among the four African countries selected by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to go into COVID-19 vaccine production.
According to Ehanire, the Federal Government used to produce vaccines in Yaba, Lagos State, until the facility was shut down in 1992 for renovation but later abandoned completely.
