EFCC nabs 36 Internet fraudsters in Kaduna

Operatives of Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 36 suspected Internet fraudsters in the state.


EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in a statement yesterday, said the suspects, comprising 35 males and one female, were arrested at Sabo Kaduna, Narayi High Cost, and Layin Dogon Iche in Samaru, Zaria Local Council of Kaduna State.

According to him, “the arrest followed credible information on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.”

He said 43 phones and five laptops were recovered from the suspects, stressing that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
