Educationist harps on early childhood learning to curb vices

An educationist, Joe Daly, has made a case for early childhood education to tackle vices in the society.  He reminded all that no sustainable development canbe achieved without a solid education.

Daly, who is the head of the newly established Abuja World Academy, at a press briefing in Abuja, emphasised the need for proper funding and monitoring of early childhood education as a means of tackling the growing social vices in the country.

According to him, failure to provide quality early childhood education limits children, depriving them of  the opportunity to reach their full potential. He said the school, which would commence academic activities in September, is set to create to create a safe environment for teaching and learning.

He said: “Our mission is to foster inquiry-based learning and instil ethical values in students to become innovative and capable global leaders. It is  similarly focused on offering the highest standard of education in an exciting environment, dedicated to fostering holistic development of every learner.” He reminded that quality pre-primary education is the foundation of a child’s journey, as every other stage of education relies on its success.
