Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid to fight for the 2024 UCL title toning at Wembley

Borussia Dortmund is set to face Real Madrid in the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League (UCL) final at Wembley Stadium today. The match will be broadcast live on GOtv.

This final marks Borussia Dortmund’s return to the pinnacle of European football as they aim to secure their second Champions League title, their first since 1997. The team claimed a spot in the final following their victory over PSG in the semifinals with an aggregate score of 2-0.

On the other hand, Joselu’s late brace against Bayern in the second leg of the semifinals earned Real Madrid a place in the final and a chance to compete for their 15th UCL title. Carlo Ancelotti’s side earlier defeated the defending UCL champions, Manchester City, in a fiercely contested quarterfinal round, ultimately triumphing in penalties.

Speaking with UEFA ahead of today’s final, Ancelotti said: “We’re really happy to play in yet another final. The nerves will come, but we aim to let them come as late as possible. We have to seize this moment, this huge match, the most beautiful match of the year, and also the most beautiful to experience.”

As both teams prepare for the final match and hope to claim the UCL title, 35-year-old attacking midfielder, Marco Reus, will be breaking his exceptional bond with Dortmund after 12 years as he leaves the team.

Speaking in an interview about the team’s qualification and his anticipation for the final game, he said, “The fact that the name Borussia Dortmund is in the final is indescribable, because it’s the biggest match that you can reach in club football. There’s a great sense of anticipation. There’s nothing better than to compete in and win a Champions League final in your last match.”

Today’s final promises intense football action as both teams face pressure to determine who will win the league title.
