Developer refutes alleged N2m fraud charge

An Abuja-based estate developer, Tony Okeleke, has refuted a report that he was arraigned for misappropriating a N2 million investment fund belonging to one Quadri Shehu.

Okeleke, who is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Seed of Heaven Nig. Ltd, debunked the allegations while interacting with newsmen in Abuja.

He said the publication was false, misleading, and aimed at damaging his reputation and corporate integrity.

The developer explained that he has a clean record in the business world as well as in his private life.

Also, the legal adviser to Olashad Commodities Nigeria Limited, Abubakar Ndagiman, in a letter to Okeleke, invalidated the alleged misappropriation.

The letter reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication purportedly stating that Tony Okeleke, the CEO of Seed of Heaven Nig. Ltd, is in a criminal battle with Olashad Commodities Nigeria Limited.

“We categorically want to state that what transpired between Tony Okeleke and the Managing Director of Olashad Commodities Nigeria Limited is purely civil in nature. The misunderstanding has mutually been resolved, and the criminal matter before the Upper Area Court, Kubwa, has also been resolved among the parties.”

Further disputing the report, Shehu’s lawyer said: “We state categorically that we, at no point in time, instructed anybody or person (s) to approach the media on our behalf.”
